There's really nothing to be against this suggestion because it's just matter of taste.

I like the idea, but I'm for include Molerats in taming and exclude Deathclaw 'cause they are not really animals.
Maybe it can depend on Outdoorsman skill, like Brahmin taming?

in fallout 2 melichior tamed 2 deathclaws in military base, if stupid mutant can do that beastmasters sure can do that too :>
