What's that? You people want a remixed version of the Fallout soundtrack?

Okay, fine.

I haven't listened to this yet. So I bear no responsibility if it is terrible.

If it is fantastic, I take all the credit.

It's not a remix, it's remastered. By Mark Morgan himself.

There are a lot of parts in there, which were remixed. The "Mastering" process itself just messes with the volume output of the final release, the compression, dynamics etc. But there are some new arranged parts in there, which definitvely falls under "Remixing". Also - this is not the official Mark Morgan Remix/Remaster.
The one from MM ist still not "out there".

EDIT: I stand corrected - it is the officially remix. But it seems, MM wasn't really involved in the Mastering Process.

Composer Mark Morgan contacted us to inform us his "Vault Archives" remastering project for the Fallout songs he composed is now done [...]

Why should he do this, if it wasn't his work.

As I said, Remixing and Remastering are two different shoes.
Mostly there engineers in seperate studios who do this process. Most probably he made a pre-Master and sent it over there.

This soundtrack seems to be fit for full 7.1 btw, so you should replace the game files with these, unless you can't force multi channel audio other than stereo in the game engine. That would be something though, such a technical step...
