Talk to a NPC in Klamath. Find out which :p
gordulan:
a question abut a build at the moment, what would you guys suggest as a gunslinger style build (note, only pistols, no heavy shit)
From what I can tell a gunslinger will need Finesse and 10 lck, otherwise the shit he shoots with ain't gonna do any damage.
Not to mention 3x more crits as well as better crits.
3-4 strength to use the weapons properly,
no small frame crap at all, waste of carry weight, not planning on going lower than 45 Kgs, otherwise he's even more useless.
BRoF, ofc, that is fucking deadly when using a pistol classed weapon.
Perception, that's the hard bit, maybe 5, 6, or even 10 with sharpshooter so he can see his range from behind as well.
In any case, I'm trying to fix up an RPing build and I could use some help with that.
HertogJan:
I'm no expert on power builds, but some comments here:
- the best small guns require a strength of 5
- strength 5 with small frame gives you a carry weight of 45, not to mention an extra character point
- finesse seems to be rather useless as it reduces damage
- make a choice between becoming a burster or a sniper before you create your character as it makes a difference in where you put your character points
- decide whether or not you want to be a crafter as it makes a difference in which skills you want to tag besides small guns
If you want to be a crafter, you can put points in science and repair and tag 1 or both.
If not, you could choose 'Good Natured' (no matter what, it's a good trait) as 1 of your traits and tag FA, perhaps together with either doctor or outdoorsman.
Use the character planner.
Winston Wolf:
Finesse is great if you want to reach the highest critical chance. (35%)

Not according to some people who looked into it more deeper and used the formulas to calculate the chances.
Vedaras explained it in this thread (must read for new players), a few others have mentioned simular things.
