Also, yes, jet addiction forever. Other addictions no, probably Nuka Cola bugged (or fixed already), but you'll have only "Addicted" icon, but no drawbacks.

When I ask conductor she's always saying that it goes to Boneyard and when I board the train it goes to VC , it happened to me 2 times and I wonder - maybe I am missing here something, or is it a bug?

No idea if this is fixed with the last update.
The easiest way is to remember the times:
- 2 and 8 AM and PM go from NCR to VC
- 4 and 10 AM and PM go from NCR to the Boneyard

I think everyone can agree thats a load of crap tbh.....

Maybe not with every merchant but with some of them this has been proven.

Another question:  Why have merc's prices been jacked up?  Are they better than pre-update?  If not I find them somewhat useless to loner players....  I'll just use slaves if i must.

Apparently NCR station also has a quest that unlocks its location, however I don't think I've ever came across it and I assume Youkai meant the "Rail Line Gang" quest by his statement from the other thread but that quest didn't add the location when I checked recently.

So what quest does unlock its location?
