Energy weapons? Why so limited... why so forgotten

imagine minigun (laser)... i am energy... with this laser resist is fun... MFC(many)... is weapon with burst( rare? that is question :) )...but laser resist with armor  is good...no change... (big guns char is master of hadling :) raket reload 2ap :).... and small and energy char...magazine or cells reloading 2ap ...hmmm...rocket magazine)

Gatling laser is even more ridiculous that the M60 - for god's sake, IT EATS 10 MFCs!!! Its painful to shoot one MFC with plasma rifle and miss or not score a critical. Only way i see to balance gatling laser, and that would be great, would be to make it eat SEC. Well, maybe nerf the damage abit, or make it eat 15 SEC but burst only 10 shots.

oh yeah I forgot to say bout gatling. My bad. It used to be my favourite weapon in F2. In 2238 i havent use one in such a long time and even havent seens one that I simply forgot about it while making this thread hehe. :P

Anyways guys. I got my energy sniper/crafter to lvl 21 And I'm pretty much disappointed in it. Rerolling a bigguner that will have 3 charisma and 180 repair + and still be a semi-powerbuild with 2 bursts per turn :/

yea, armors have huge laser resists, but snipers have armor baypasses

Badger:
I don't think a weapon's usefulness should be dependent on armour bypasses. Nor should most armours be so incredibly resistant to energy. Why would the governments of the world produce weapons that were weaker against armour than conventional guns?
