i'll say it again, i think this, in the form its in right now is a bad idea, the guards don't notice people spamming pick pocket but they shoot the guys that get huge stacks of ammo stolen.

and i'll get thrown in jail for putting a 9mm round from a mauser in to the eyes of a guy who stole my new SMG right out from under me.

even had a assault rifle that was in my hands go poof once, i would suggest making the guard AI better, or adding a boost to the pick pocket timer for picking pockets in a guarded city so people cant strip some one of every bit of gear they have, other than that, from a in character stand point, who is paying to feed and keep these scum balls locked up? and who is arming the guards with enough crap to stop a gang of power builds? the brotherhood? i'd doubt that very much.

sorry if i seem negative but i would just like to remind every one of the things that would need to be changed so that this would help rather than harm.

nah i dont like the idea. Jailing for bombing? for killing? for stealing? Do you have a list what is "legal" to do in wasteland? I think you are just trying to solve your own problem of getting owned in guarded towns and i really do not like it. As kilgore said if we are going to suggestions like these then better disable attack on guarded towns at all, but still best is to leave as it is.

Nah, I am not trying to solve any my problem, I just want to make some RP here (ways to leave the prison) and also, secure some newbies from bombers, if you like blowing yourself up do it not in guarded city ;) Simple

All this can be abused, as Lexx said, and player-driven system will fail - offline guards, betrayers, exploiters, abusers.

If you're looking for jobs, as some said the Bounty Hunting might be a solution, but the real way to give players something to do is NPC-driven factions, that will one day be implemented. If I was looking for a job or a way to improve my way of playing, I'd wait for them.

Everything in this game can be abused nowadays... raiding guarded city, raiding guarded mines, killing NPC Traders...
That's the point to let players do what they want, anyway, it's a lot better than this shitty Army Roleplay where soldiers are locked in base and their "fun" depends from whims of you, Izual... it's such boring nobody can raid your kiddy base, too scared to open the gate when some russians stays there?  ::)
