Real Time nerfing couse its too powerfull
« on: April 30, 2010, 02:00:57 pm »

Real Time adventage over Turn Based combat is too big.

I suggest:

Before player can leave random encounter in real time he need to stand still on exit grid for 30 seconds - this will reduce adventage of constantly running in circles on exit grid till allowed to leave.

Towns - thiefs/Pkers will no more 'hit'nrun' on exit grid like it is now and players will be allowed to pick items droped by thiefs/pkers on exit grids. ( without using hit your friend and fast pick things from exit grid trick).

does it really matter, if you don't like rt, just switch to turnbased, and TB will not work in towns, do you expect everyone to just stand still and skip turns, eh?

gordulan  I was writing nothing about turn based in towns. You post makes absolutly no sens at all. My post is about Real Time cousing disbalance in game.

what a shitty suggestion. Actually in tb fights are much  easier, so i dont see sense in increasing difficulty of rt fights.

Hit and run tactic is one possible tactic against bigger gangs in cities..

you must be kidding  :o You always see one side of the thing it seems to me. better stay out of suggestion section :P
yea, everybody got time to run 30 sec in exit grid to leave every fkin encounter or w/e which are very hard right now (fe raiders). And "stand still" in exit grid? you know what this means? It means you gotta eliminate every creature in every encouter you face. heh, how old are you btw?

I think the only advantage RT has is the ability to use FA during a fight.

I've said it yesterday and now I say it again: If you really don't like what one suggests and have no valid critcism or arguments to say, then don't post here.
Especially if I see it again that someone says "Take your pills!" etc. I'll give out the first warnings.
Spam removed.

Real Time is in my opinion not really too powerfull, it just doesn't really fits my playstyle. ;) I'm used to Fallout1/2s gameplay in turns, where I can overthink my actions etc. In Real Time everything is just too fast for me, a little bit slowing down would do the trick for me to make it attractive. But that's just my opinion. ;)
I therefore really don't think RT needs to be nerfed.

It's up to the team to decide whether one is a troll or not. And I don't see any "troll" attempts here. Just a guy who'd like to see things changed and whose suggestions aren't welcomed by the majority of other players. Remember those are SUGGESTIONS, some people seem to think, just because someone posts a suggestion here it'll be ingame in the next update.

u don't see any troll attempts here...
he is a really skilled one then. look at his prevous topic, what was there?
flame madness and offtopic. and why? he, with his 1st post, provoked half of this community to create  more than 80 post of shit. and now he created another tread with  almost same 1 int suggestion  coz ppls don't want to flood anymore in his prevous topic. that's pretty skilled trolling, really.

I won't repeat myself anymore. If you really think it's a "troll", don't feed him.
For all the others who want to discuss this sugesstion in a proper way - go on.

rt is ok now... in towns it can be pretty uh... how can I say it... overwhelming.. ive seen (and have it happen to me) where a player dies way before he actually gets to the location in his browser... ( dying before the screen loads) so yah slowing it down would be cool.... or just increase the time it takes for your action points to refresh in rt but only in towns or something, not in the wasteland where looting multiple geckos is a pain cuz you g2 wait for your ap's to refresh before looting another body...

but playing in rt is still prety freakin hard... its almost suicide if you have non amazing gear on you... shit trying to fight a pack of wolves in rt with metal armour mk2 and a sweet gun is still pretty hard by yourself, its fast and you get hit alot... a knock down or a knock is almost certain death.... maybe forcing the switch from rt to tb once knocked out might fix this... dunoo.....
