[Unique Thread] I can't launch the game or Log in

Clizard,
So you got GOG version?
That should be enough to play FOnline (If you have Master.dat, Critter.dat and music folder)
You need download client from 2238 website and installer ask those Master.dat and Critter.dat files.
Ridger:
Had this problem for the past day. The error has stayed for around 12 or so hours, maybe more. When I try to log in (with my main character and any new ones), I get this error:
--- Code: ---Minimum time from one computer to one account is 10 minutes.
--- End code ---
Here is the output of FOnline.log:
--- Code: ---Load scripts complete.

Looks like the most important part is "Socket is closed". I was able to log in a few times with my main character. Leveled up once, then died and respawned at the spawn point just south of NCR barracks. I logged out, and around a half hour later I tried to reconnect. Couldn't. I got the error above. So I tried creating a new character, but that one received the same error as above.
Platform: Ubuntu 10.10 x64
(I installed the game first using the latest WINE version, ignoring the tutorial because it seems like it doesn't do anything special that WINE doesn't do. Then I reinstalled the game under WINE. Same result. Uninstalled and reinstalled under PlayonLinux. Still the same result.)
EDIT: So I was able to log on for a little bit with a new character, connected through a different network. It worked, but instead of it being a new character I was somehow way up north near the ghost farm, on the world map with a good deal of the inland part of the world explored. I was at level six, with no items and a bad build. I'm thinking that it was one of my old characters from when I played back in 2009 or something. Maybe earlier. I thought that the game deleted inactive users? Anyways, I deleted the character and created a new one with the same name. Now I get the same error as above yet again.

Jabberwok:
This may be a stupid question, but I need to ask it before I go looking for a Windows copy of F2. I have the Mac OS X version of the game, which doesn't seem to have .dat files, that I can find. My impression is that I need these files for FOnline. It might be that I'm not looking in the right place, but I did a search and didn't come up with anything. I have the Fallout 1 dat files, but I'm guessing those won't work. Is there someplace I can get these from without having to buy a Windows copy of Fallout 2?
