To get into the Raiders faction you need 120 reputation with the slavers.  The only options I've discovered on how to do this is by doing the briefcase quest from Lil' Jesus or by joining the slavers.

I've done the briefcase quest, but must've been shot by a slaver at one time because my reputation is only 100.  I don't want to join the slavers because that would limit my character's ability to trade in some cities.

I suggest there be another way to raise your reputation with the slavers.  I've tried trading with Metzger (even outright giving him 500 caps in trade window), but that doesn't affect my reputation with the slavers.

I agree! I don´t want to be a slaver just to join the raiders to get sg crafting level 3. I don´t mind getting the neg. reputation from the raiders, but why do I have to be a salver
I want to be able to enter towns...

I've got the same problem: -200 karma with slavers and i've done the briefcase quest. There should be a way to get additional rep for slavers without actually becoming a slaver. Or just remove the 120 rep requirement for that raider related quest. I'm all for tradeoffs and so on, but at this point of game being a raider is just awful. Same goes with enclave.

Agreed to all above.  It would be nice if we could find some raiders somewhere (ie. Reno) and do some simple quests/trading with them to increase rep so you can join them.  Either that or just give the slavers a repeatable quest (that doesn't require you joining them) that gives you a little bit of rep each time you do it.

It is currently very simple to become a raider, and if you want SG3, you must face the consequences.

AFAIK this is Raiders reputation not Slaver Guild.

at least you get + vc reputation if you kill slaver it should work vice versa.

I found a little workaround for those who need 50 or less more slaver rep.  You can join the Enclave to get +100 rep, then leave them to get -50 slaver rep.
