Technically not possible. Or let's say it's more work than being worth it. Besides, if this would be a normal wipe, you wouldn't get your character as well. So see it like that: It's a wipe and everything is gone.
But it's not a wip, it's a WIPE.
But ok, let's not call it a shutdown, let's call it an extended server lapse.
Seriously.

Players tents with everything inside just aren't stored like that, they aren't files separate for each player.
If you feel attached to your tent, make a screenshot of it.

We use Fallout2 datafiles, there's not a single movie from Fallout1.
Ah yes. I forgot... such a pity.

These last two posts perfectly symbolize why its probably for the better that the game is now away.

People kept spamming bullshit about some horse faction that nobody cares about.

Other then that,I kinda expected the Devs to come on the stage and do wacky shit like little circus chimps.

We tried. But maybe you noticed that FOV was blocking the view on the stage. We tried to fix it, but couldn't make it in time (the timer was automated). Shit happens, I'll guess.

Seeing all the devs remaining silent until the end was a nice demonstration of their integration within their own community. They preferred to discuss together via server messages. That's sad, I expected some speech as well.

Shame I wasn't here to witness the end. Had lots of good times when I played, lots of drama too.
