Yeah, but that's cheating, so it doesn't count.

But how can you tell?

The only person on your team with the ability to detect dual logs with a large margin of success was Gorlak.  ;)  (granted if everyone makes alts with names like Gay1 Gay2 Gay3, duhh.)

But, I think this number should be lowered.  Maybe, 500?  750?  1000 is ridiculous.  You couldn't fit all those players in NCR I'd wager, at least, they wouldn't be able to move....

EnergyForYou:
Well Michael, if you would have little time to get into SDK you would know that detecting dual logs is really easy :)

if it's so easy then why didn't all GMs pitch in?

JovankaB:
It was never hard, just cumbersome and time-consuming, because you had to be in the game all the time, type commands, check IPs, summon people, test them and deal with their caught cheatz0r rage. It's nothing fun to do, it needs to be done 24/7 to be truly effective and the only payment that you will get is hate in the player community.

After some time, simply nobody wanted to do it anymore.

In recent months I made detecting alts even easier by scripting a new "alts" command which shows characters with same IP and where they are:

Before we had external application for this, so you had to save logs, switch windows etc. It's much less work now, it's useful sometimes, but I still wouldn't want to sit in game and check the multilogs with it.
