When you can afford plasma, you can afford everything in this game, and you don't need crap armors after your enemies (farmed armors aren't usable anymore, crafted either - you can use them only in repairs).

Godna:
Actually Plasma if fairly cheap.  Craft Rockets and you are good to go.
