Trading Problem.
« on: April 18, 2013, 09:45:22 pm »

Whenever I attempt to trade with an NPC they never offer anything for what I put up, whether it's misc items, or weapons, they never add value to it.  ??? I don't quite know where to post this, but anyone able to tell me where I'm wrong?

Some merchants only buy specific items. Check out Xsarqs excellent trading guide for more details:

You should post such topics in the survival guide/game help section.

They made crafting low tier stuff much easier, and balanced it by only allowing you to sell it to some traders.

A quick list:
10mm jhp/similar ammo to NCR guy by tables in Bazaar

the same for woman in Tanker
same for Redding mayor

locks and maybe throwing to bartender in tanker

small energy cells and 14mm/maybe 10mm AP to the two traders at San Francisco entrance

locks, possibly throwing/melee to Gas Station trader
also i think he buys antidotes and healing powders

use stimpacks to trade with doctors for drugs and caps

junktown: Jeremiah seems to buy almost everything

Hub: Gun shop buys small energy cells and I think locks
Midget trader in Hub buys low tier ammo, maybe throwing- not sure

Gunrunner trader buys metal armors, maybe other armor- also small energy cells

trader in Boneyard Train Station- think he buys almost everything

off the top of my head- plenty of people to sell easily crafted stuff to

edit:  Try radios! Lots of traders seem to love those things.

Shovel shit
Can you still get paid for shovelling shit? I thought it was nerfed, it's only 1xp per shit now.

Shovel shit
If it paid enough to make it worth it, I would. 10 caps? Waste of time.

And since nobody actually cleans shit anymore that means cleaning out all of the pens makes about 500~
And by the time you clean the last one the others will be filled up again, repeat previous action a few times until you realize that slaving is the only way to make any serious cash.

I have to be honest and say that it wasn't all that much shit........ And no, I really don't remember it too clealy, 'cause I was focused on getting the shovel to give to Dan, rather than the money....... I'll go try it out at NCR station ASAP.
And yes, I intended to make a slaver (someday) but not soon... Besides, I make plenty gecko hunting, even if Maida IS ripping me off. lol.

When you know the system, and all the merchants, it's so easy to take cash and so much drugs...

With a little bit chance, you come right after drugs+caps spawn.

With a good organization, i success to buy something like 25buff+15psych+25 SS+20 radaway, + rad-x all days, and 5000-15000 caps.

Kill raiders, near bh, then with a sience char sience all armors, you will have so much golden and silver gekos pelts, that you would need more chars to sell all.
