In the area with the "factory" and the woods (the one you reach when you leave the cave through the western exit), you can go west, through the trees (don't worry, the critters there never attack unless provoked), and when you reach the map limit, you will find a little shack with some strange monster. Inside the shack there is a robed man you can talk to. If you give him 2 water bottles (which you can buy in the bar through dialogue) he will give you electronic parts.

If you look a bit south and maybe a bit west from where those slaves are standing, you will notice a hole in the ground. Stand on it and you will enter the cave.
