The Outpost

Since the update, it's no longer possible to gather junk or electronic parts at the outpost base. You're paying 130k for a base that has the same things as the 50k base, basically.

But I noticed there's a broken computer in the outpost, but it serves no purpose.

Is that ever going to yield electronic parts in the future? Or will the most expensive base ever be worth it again?

It would be nice if the extra money you spend on it went toward something like the workbench with extra tools that you need to make 7.62 ammo, or a medical terminal. I won't go so far as to say micro fusion cell machine, that would be over the top.

As far as I can see right now, it was never possible to obtain junk or electronic parts in the outpost hq.

Having a large base is already a big advantage. Having a fortress full of all the materials needed for crafting is never going to be a reality.

I thought that the barrel was usable for junk, maybe I got that one confused with the slightly cheaper base.

Still. You can pay 50k for a base with just a couple less storage containers, and it also has fruit and fiber in it. Meat is useless to get since you can get it in Modoc, and you have to bring it all the way there anyways just to turn it into jerky. :/

So, yeah. With the new 50k base it feels like people who buy the 130k base have wasted 80,000 caps.

And if you bought a 50k base over a tent, you've wasted 50k caps accordingly to your logic.

Tents don't have access to fruit or fiber... :| And you can't have a whole gang go there, so no.

Straw man arguments, hoo.

Not going to argue much more, but it's possible, if whole gang is present when creating the tent.
