Question about Tents/Safe Houses.

Hello fellow wastelanders,

I got a quick question about tents,safehouses,etc. I first came into my safe house after 5 months (or more) of inactivity. I notice a bag on the ground called ''Special Tent item'', checked it out and read it. It kinda scared me I was wondering if I don't interact with it, does it still delete my safe house? Do I have to find another place to store my items?
