Battle taunts for NPCs

(1/4) > >>

Alvarez:
Usually, the mobs in encounters silently engage you, like soulless robots. But a psyched raider or a sadistic merc surely wouldn't pass a opportunity to throw a taunt at his presumed weak victim, before going in for a kill.

So, why shouldn't they shout something at the PC, like "i'm gonna kick your ass", "time to die!", "look, a pajama", "meat!" or something like this?

Maybe given the opportunity, the player might want to write his own taunts in a file which the mobs will shout - this will surely add some colour to the PvE.

What do you think? Oh, and feel free to leave your taunt line suggestions.

TKs-KaBoom:
pretty sure, they already do

"Keep your distance!" and "Don't come any closer!" doesn't count, other than that they only talk when you attack them for example: "Ow my spleen","I didn't know I have so much blood"

+1 for the suggestion

iam sure that text about droped bomb is RED.

Alvarez:
Well, also in the Man's job, the goons chasing you shout curses, too. But only in this quest.

Also, do you ever wonder what the mercs have against you?

What i'd love to see, too, is the taunt lists distributed as fanart, which you can download and play with a element of surprise. A witty writer can provide a good laugh this way!
