I got the hydroelectric magnetosphere regulator and brought it to the robot in the reactor at Gecko. Then I put it into the receiving tray at the terminal like it asks but I did not start the robot yet. Instead I logged off because I wanted to check something. But now when I go back it asks for the part again and the only dialogue option is the one saying that I don't have the part.

I've gone back to the councilman and the chief amenities officer to see if I could get it again but to no avail. Any advice on how I can get this part back to complete the quest?

try make new alt, maby you will be able to use that regulator

this stuff isn`t in fonline. You must be talking about Fallout 2 - those are two difrent things.

I was remember a lot of problems with vault city - gueko quests.

So, i think, it's better that you load an old save game..
