In there you have containers,boxes,ammor crates,footlockers,chests and others.
One of them should suit your need.

Shelves aren't craftable though.
They should be imo.

Every base has a generator, at least fridges would justify their presence, as the bases don't even have lights. And beer and nuka can be crafted.
