Bonus Ranged Damage and Energy Weapons

Hello,
Can anyone please clarify whether the +2 ranged damage from Bonus Ranged Damage and Bonus Ranged Damage+ also applies when using an energy weapon?
BRD and BRD+ require 150% and 175% in Small Guns or Big Guns, so I am curious if after getting my SG or BG high enough to take the perks I will be able to reap the rewards while using energy weapons.

More Ranged Damage can be attained with 200% Energy Weapons, so I assume that one does apply the +3RD when using energy weapons.

Bonus ranged Damage does not apply to Energy Weapons, I think this was done to help balance out the fact they already do more base single shot damage than any other weapons in the game.  The More ranged damage perk is the only thing I've found that you can use to add damage to energy weapons.  Which is kinda cool if you think about it because it opens the door for a few more interesting builds since you can save at least 2 perks for other things.

I just tested with a Laser Pistol and a Gatling laser, and i did more damage then was stated on the weapon.

Against a bluesuit, i hit a 47 with the pistol, while the max is 35.
The gatling did 111 against the same bluesuit where the max is 99. (With single rounds, duh. Also i was using fastshot.)

I suppose it may not make much a difference but i just wanted to proove that wrong.

Humn, well I meant you Energy weapons didn't let you qualify for the perks, sorry I should have typed it better.  Though if it works if you have the perks that's cool.  A hard build but cool.

Not sure if it's bug or not to be honest. With energy weapons you can't qualify for BRDs, but you can get More Ranged Damage with it.
