GM's, can you ADD another one "The Five Points" in the list of faction name's?
We were "tfp" since 3 OBT,(with Oliver as the leader) and now someone took this name!  
maybe "fake" TFP even does'not playing?
OR at least add something like "The Five Protectors"\ "Five Pistols" i dunno

Well. We have that problem , we ask admin to add some faction name , he said  ok he add it after wipe . Yesterday we wants build base with those name and .. nothing

The faction name - I'll guess it's the one I am thinking about - is in the name file. So it's there. Why it doesn't work, I don't know.

Maybe the name is already taken by another faction.
I was told that Dead Master Crew did the same taking the name of Red Dot Army...

Keep in mind, the names are case sensitive. Writing everything small or everything big will not work.

i think names Gang names should be reserved for proper gang members, altho people also steal nickname, witch can be forgiven, but still it's trolling hardly around.faction name witch was mark was build for long time and stolen... and such names shoud be given, by gm or blocked till taken i donno....

I would likely to open again this thread because of Name stealing.
I think, that this is realy unfair, when some strong gang popularize his name, build his reputation around that, create his own forum, webpages...

And then, some envious player take this name.

Some like that happened to my gang, Ego Slayers.
I am new member, and even I don't like that name, but my teamates was realy unhappy and sad (some of them was realy angry and cursed all around them).
Is there any possibility to take that names back?

Take any and live with it. Why people are not complaining when their names are taken after wipe?!

well, all of our allies knew and know us like "TFP" and we still saying that we are "TFP" becouse, all got used to it

Yeah, this kind of "registration" would be welcomed since there are constant wipes due to the beta tests.

I still think there is time to "fix" it. Devs probably still have the gang logs of previous betas, they can restore it to the former leaders. I personally would be pissed, and probably stop playing if someone my gang name, not for butthurt, simply because yes, people build websites and stuff like that around a name, now imagine, you having to use x website for an y guild, or x irc channel for y guild and yes, although you can warn everyone about a new website and irc channel, if old members decide to come back they won't have a clue.

Devs really should do something about it.

but how many gangs we have now? 100? 200? Would it be so hard to control all names to be "correct" ?
