Make a temporary IRC channel so people can gather before event starts, it's what I do on my caravan.

Which I've waited in for 2 weeks without a single person joining in or any notification of a caravan event lol.

As I said: I will warn players at the thread the day a caravan is going to leave, otherwise don't waste your time idling on the channel waiting for something to happen.
It's crystal clear in my thread, the big text is good to filter morons who get bored after reading a single sentence from constantly nagging me about "wiimz carrvanz??2?"
