Good idea to have automated auction system, but there's nothing about this feature what makes it safer.

I think this would be trolled. Just because the auctioneer is in a town doesn't mean assholes cannot camp him, wait for player to pick up their (valuable!) bought stuff or caps, burst him/her and steal the stuff/caps with dual logged alt.

So current auction system is safer if you are careful!

Then you could have several of these NPCs, linked together in different towns, so the perpetrators wouldnt know, which one you are going to use. Heck, you dont even have to see the name of buyer/seller.
