thats realy good one, but only one reason to have connected forum nicks with game.

Still your nickname with Michaelh139 will be only for that forum account, problem solved, before it started (Simple : If you got already forum account, it will ask you if you want same nickname in game or not.)

Or perhaps the only way to create a character would be through the forum... when you make an account you also make a character, then it gets put in the game. Make the stats hidden to other players if chosen.

As good of intentions it may be, there will be those who will abuse it.
It wouldn't be worth it.
