Fallout Character sprites database?
« on: December 04, 2012, 07:09:18 am »

I couldnt find this on the site, or google / google images.
Is there any fallout character sprite database to get all of the character / creature animations?

ok i downloaded a fallout 2 dat extractor that supposedly lets you extract all of the data out of the master dat and critter dat, you can then theoretically put them in the FRM view to look at the animations graphics etc.

Does anyone know how to extract the data out of the Dat files? I dont understand what this program does it does nothing. =/

those are all of the 'dat extractors' for fallout.
Anyone know how this works?

DatExplorer for extracting, Titanium FRM Browser for viewing - most easy to use

...I dont see any threads on there leading to fallout sprites...
Huh?

OK the extractor worked, when I exported the files and  tried to view it in the frm viewer I get a lot of different animations of different creatures, but they are only from the corner-up animations.
there are no sideways sprites, no walking downwards sprites, only the up facing sprites. Dafuq?
Is this viewer I'm using missing something?

Look for option to change displayed animation direction. When it comes to critters, each .frm contains animation for all 6 directions, .fr[0-5] files only for one.

ERMAGERD WTF, the one I have lets you view all of the FRM files at once so you can just scan through them and find what you want, but doesnt change directions, the other one i downloaded changes directions but I have to load in things 1 at a time.
