Don't know how this works but if the game died, would they give it out to anyone or sell it so maybe someone with perhaps a little more motivation would work on it?

Game is about as fine and playable as ever, some of the balancing in favor of apes max hp bg builds is disturbing, to me at least but meh who cares.  If you want to do TC rock em sock em robots and have a pissing contest, theres your super secret uber noob killing build, just add Super stims   Now for the rest of us that want a fun enjoyable game, there are many other builds to choose from, but don't expect them to compete with aforementioned ones, the perks and mechanics have been tailored in ape flavor favor tateraide.  Just the way it is, don't expect plasma rifles to be worth a shit, don't expect cattle prods to be useful, small guns nope, blah blah etc,.

A player influx without all of the top clans having a billion gauss pistols and gatling lasers just mowing them down the second they get into the game and discouraging them from continued playing?

Speaking of, has the Gauss Pistol exploit been fixed yet? Or do the devs still claim it's "working as intended" when someone can just make an alt and walk over one square for half an hour until they find a Gauss Pistol. Random special encounter chances need to be map-wide with very, very low percentages.

And keeping them out of the way of any main travel routes is possibly the worst decision you could make, it means that only players who figure that out (and thus, gain the ability to farm them on alts) will find them, and everyone else will never see a Gauss Pistol in their life.

Stop crying about gauss pistols and tc players are "bad" . Wipe could be good but after fixing drugs crafting, adding new armors, fixing repair. And why not give us bozars from special encounters? Boost Them a little l, they are very hard to use and some of us would make bozar sniper with low hp (min 7str and 9ap to shot someone in eyes with brof)
