Fallout VS Fallout Tactics
« on: October 10, 2012, 09:28:33 pm »

General..  i have enjoy much more Fallout 2 & 1
But maybe the tactics is better for multiplayer.

Fonline
+Work in progress - better grafics in future
+Crafting
+Builded already quests -npc ect
+Working Servers

-must have alternative characters
-many quests cannot be playable with one character (person)
-turnbase-ac- ect problems

Fallout Tactics

+Squads
+Sentry Modes
+Stance Buttons
+ Vehicles can be used in combat

-No tent.. (can you believe it? there is no tent!!!)
-No crafting...
-quests (?)

Your opinion?

I enjoyed Fallout 1 and 2 mostly.
Fallout Tactics wasn't too good or special for me, it was okay.

FOnline is great if you have an working community, but FOnline Tactics seems to be better for (tactical) combat. But I like both and still play them sometimes.
If there'd be an poll, I'd say Fallout/FOnline.

I Love 1 & 2, the general atmosphere was classic.

Tactics was made in Australia... and it had an epic storyline and a brand new way to look at the universe.

1&2 are better together, but Tactics individually beats 1 or 2

I did play only in F1/F2 many, many times, but i tactics never(i am only creating server for FoT by using gamers suggestions) :-)
For me F1/F2 is for good RPG, tactics is a different game, and have other spirit.

FOnline is not Fallout, FOnline is a new game which is MMO game, not single player cRPG. You shouldn't compare Fallout with FOnline or Fallout Tactics. All of these 3 games are other and have other types of gameplay.

FOnline:
- online game, we can play with other players

Fallout 1 and 2:
- great cRPG

Fallout Tactics:
- it is other game which is very good

+Work in progress - better grafics in future

I am not sure if it is troll or...?

But maybe the tactics is better for multiplayer.

Yes and no. Yes because combat mechanics, no because 16 players max, so? Oh well, these games are not same, so...

Tactics sux in single player; very linear and a letdown compared to F1+F2.
Where Tactics shines is in multiplayer PvP. Tactics has better controls and better graphics and sound (with high resolution patch/sound patch).
Some of us still play multiplayer Tactics on GameRanger. For more info check out this link:

Tactics became extremely boring in the single player when robots started to apear. Even parts of mutant levels were really boring just because how bullet-spongy everything felt.

I still can be reached over e-mail if you somehow need anything from me. Don't see a reason why you would, but if you do, e-mail remains the safest bet, as I do not visit this forum reliably anymore.

Yes that's how it felt. 10 AK magazines, mutant still trolling around. Grab obsolete .50 cal mg - one shot them.
I always disliked poor balance (both functional and visual) in F2, FT made it a bit more worse.

FT in Fonline could be very cool, because it was very good tactic and PVE game. it could be very good for PVP.
