Very simple
SAD - inaccessible
Glow - no chance to get to Aworkbench
Klamath toxic caws - same as Glow
Gun runnes - have not tried yet, but need reputation and without combat skill not sure how to reach

Gunrunners is easy, all you need really is two bases and vehicle (to deliver the Gunrunners package and maintain your rep).

WEak argurment, please no more NERFS to accomodate panty hose wearing noobs that want fonline to be a walk in candyland.  Adv Workbenches being in out of the spot places is one of the GOoD things done this session, as it forces some interaction between players to actally leave the confines of the saftey of there bases.  Risk should be the compliment to reward.  In this case the risk is encountering blood thirsty murderous bandits in contrast of being able to craft cool new goodies, I don't see a problem with that.

Sad - inaccessible?  Really?  I never have any trouble getting in there, I must be super kool guy, true story...
Glow - who goes to the Glow to craft?
Toxic caves - Yeah geckos are super hard to kill :/
Gunn runners - Uh yeah the quest is the whole idea to get your rep up to basically a safe adv workbench for you, sounds like heaven for you right?  Oh, your too lazy to do it.... got it, sry, well I erm, I don't know what to tell you then.....  Oh you only have a few hours a week to play but expect to have the game accomodate your needs, maybe play World of Warcraft?  They accomodate for everyone.

toxic cave is no where as bad as glow, all you need to do is take a bger or a heavy handed troll and kill the robots and a couple geckos. ohhh noes i might be a little bit poisoned. (take antidote)

The payments seem enough to just use the trains- NCR/Boneyard.
Back and forth.

As far as I agree that the military base shouldn't be a place for a loner to use an advance workbench I still understand the flame's point. I have seen this guy camping there constantly for a long time (probably on multilog doing something else while the mercs autokill everyone appearing in the spawning point), and I wouldn't call this situation as encouraging interaction beetween players, on the contrary, less people go there beacuse its almost immposible to get on the 4th floor even with fully armed group, because elevator allows only 1 person at a time and after you get there you immediately get shot by 30+ mercs. I don't believe he does it for loot, because most people sends scouts before coming in with the actual crafting resources and I don't see how this is a matter of "harshness" because he clearly exploits the bottleneck created by a mechanics that were designed with a single player game in mind for a pure purpouse of griefing. Funny enough simmilar case (resolved by Jovanka) happened few days ago in the Gecko Mine, where everyone were spawning in the location already dead due to mercs killing them even before they were able to fully load a game.

I cleared a batch of plasma-nade slaves at Mariposa a few days ago- are they back again?

I believe it is a good idea for such people like the guy with 30 mercs to camp the grid of the forth floor. When the crap with mercs started, I went to Gun Runners with mentats every time I went for a ride to get the rep. Now, due to some wierd "?bug?" I can't craft there too, the guard doesn't let me thrue. I am gonna use Siera or caves, and encourage other loners to do the same, and not whine about "no-freebies" at Mariposa. It's pretty easy already, with fast relog and all the crap.

Just a little clarification, I didn't resolve anything there. I just was around on my character when it happened,
that's all. All credits for cleaning the Gecko mine should go to the brave and nice warriors from the SoT gang.
Crafters are lucky that there are good people out there on the wasteland.

The answer "level more alts" can solve every gameplay problem in 2238.

And it is only "safe".

Crafting is farming and farming needs to be safe so that it's profitable. If there is a high risk of meeting dangerous players in crafting area, a good farmer stays away and chooses alternative farming method. Players repel players. Nobody goes do the slavery quest or craft at advanced workbench if there are dangerous campers there. Nobody is in such hurry that he needs something right now. He can wait hours, even days. That should outlast even the most patient camper. Best way to defeat enemy and achieve what you want is actually not to fight.

Uh, why does it need to be safe?  oh so it can be profitable, that should be 2238's mission statement.....  lets see you have 4 countem adv workbenches and you need to go to that one?  You don't like glow, don't like geckos, don't like doing gunn runner quest and are afraid of turrets......  You must have free access to Maripossa, be able to +requesthelp and have a GM led escort to guide you to level 4 so that you may make your PvP gear so you can .......  uh, oh ok......  Maybe you do need adv workbenches at home so you can craft in your pajammas and furry bunny slippers.  Yeah this game is sooo hard and unfair.  The amount of time and energy avoiding confrontation in this game makes me sick.  "NO it doesn't im uber super duper ape, I goes ape shit!  just not when I'm on my crafter with glasses please don't hit me!", thats just sorry and oh so sad......I would think you of all people would have an appreciation for having in the back of your head that there might be a jackass with a minigun around the next corner, just not when your doing TC?  What you don't have 10 alts over WM and your whole team of buddies so this end of the rapestick isn't so fun for you?

Crafting is farming and farming needs to be safe so that it's profitable.

Yeah!

I never said it needs to be. Only said how good farmers do things: they avoid trouble.

Yeah because if you spend the time to get mats to make tier 2 gear you totally want to lose it to a couple of sneakers to promote "interaction"
