DO I need any CH to be in a party if I'm not the leader? Or when building a character could I leave it at 1?

If you never want to lead anyone, you can set it to 1. But keep in mind, that many NPCs don't interact with 1 CHA characters as well.

if you are creating character only for combat then you probably need to have 1 charisma :>

If you want to learn proffessions you need at least 3 charisma for anything higher than lvl 1 of any craft.If you dont mind spending caps and risking addiction you can alway take mentats and raise charisma by 2 points for a short time.

thank you for the reponses. And yes the character i'm trying to make would be soloing. I don't think the risk of withdrawal//addiction bothers me too badly.
