Installation as usual, "data/art/items", drop files there.

Downsides of this:
1. Bear traps underneath the yellow aren't visible at all.
2. Mines underneath the yellow are visible, but it can't be removed due the the overlaying picture.

Hertog is right, the "BEEP!" version is better imho, especially for footlockers. I am not using Horatio's footlockers mod but I do use the Junk one - as said, the beep version as it has the best balance between visibility and "metagaming"/screen spam :D

Horatio:
So much emotions, Gimper!... I almost feel like Mariah Carey! ;P

Okay, guys, i made two different versions, the first one just makes more room for defusing traps. The second one is "audible" version for the folks like Eternauta, who want more immersion in the roleplaying aspect of the game, instead of using metagaming HUDs.

They can be downloaded here and here

As for me, i once thought about making traps with big, red exclamation marks, but... I guess that will be too much metagaming. Traps are meant to be hidden, so i guess it should be first implemented in game as a PE based feature, if implemented at all. They are a bitch to click on, though.

Eternauta:
Awesome mods, Horatio. I like the idea of the one with sound, I think this game (and the original Fallouts) lacked some of it.

Which one is the sound mod, though, is it the .rar called "newfdetector" or the "clicking" one?

EDIT: I have installed the files from "newfdetector" and I got problems:

And with "clicking" I get this:

Are those proportions intended? :D

Horatio:
As for the arrow target, the proportions are intended to be like this. Because, let's face it - a chest hunting is checking a map for mere presence of a chest and not waste additional time in encounter. My mod increases the size of graphic, which falls as yellow thingy into the attention span of a player and Perception radius of his character rather faster(now how i see it disregard invisibility behind walls, because it give a wider angle for player's FoV - it was not intended.)

As for the "Click!", it was made to be a sound, and i just copied the proportions of last mod. I see the clicking sound is rather loud, if we compare the size to volume.  :-\
It should be perhaps "Honk!" instead.  ;D
