That's it.

I suggesting to play this 1.5 hours, and then you'll play with your favorite minigun 10 minutes till meet 21st leveled gang.

In other words:
That's active crafting. You need to earn XP (which you'll not get in your total XP pool, till you get required ammount). So you're afraid of "Oh cool! They have minerals, ore, wood, alloys, metal parts, junk, electronic parts! That's not like standart fallout! They're so smart to do this!". Yeah, of couse that's cool addition, but... it makes game really-really boring. It's almost like stupid MMORPGs like MUonline, where your character XPing himself killing mobs, you don't even need a bot, just put book or something on right mouse button ^_^ So... that game is really sucks. Whatever, all I want to say that's a way How To Get This Game Active Type Playing, not stupid watching youtube.

How about instead 10 minutes crafting for 1,5 hours of playing?

If devs are so afraid of crashing server with item flood, let the traders sell items faster/convert them in money. You're a GM, you can visit bases. If you see too much items on the ground, lagging the serv, get some raiders to attack and raid the hampsters. Wasteland should be equally harsh to everyone.

The most securest place for a weapon should be your own inventory - your own value of life. If it's lost however, it shouldn't be a problem to get a new one.

But not with the fucking ridiculous time allocation, what is it, 1playing/9crafting?
What is it, Harvest Moon?

Sure about this. I think items laying on ground must be removed within X hours.
Make containers' volume less, much less.

They will use alts to store items... but it's very very bothering, to relog each time to get this armor, so let them use alts for store.

Or... "Item deteoration over time (very fast)", but only for items, which laying on ground, but I think it'll consume even more server memory.

Edit: Also versus alt-storage, and alts at all, make relog time much more. 10 minutes is too low. So it's suited for alt-using, of couse it's not forbbiden, but it's not bother anyone to use some alts. 1 hour for relog would be nice. Of couse, if you have brother/sister/daddy/granny, who playing FOnline on the same computer after you, he/she needs to wait... Also if you want to play other character (create new, because old have really bad build), I don't think 1 hour is so lethal, because you can plan your character for this time and make his build even better. With such relog timing alts gotta gone, and we will be happy roleplayers.

And cows and slaves and mercs and chest seeds...
Cut the storage to the minimum! After the 10th alt either they'll adapt to keep storage at short or get caught by a GM.
Craft only things you want to wear or sell. Or did you ever seen 30 miniguns fitting in a crate?

Dunno about this, how about...they just vanish after some time on the ground? Oh, i feel you hate swelling, guys, i just suggested vanishing items - alting will be even more difficult now! No more alt transactions!

Slaves and mercs should have really low carry weight.
Brahmins will eat all storages (even rockets, combat armor and jet!) after 1 hour of it's owner offline. (Yeah go and kill your provider, if he disconnected you.)
About alts I edited previous post.
Yeah, this is Wasteland! Wtf? Why the hell do you need these 100 combat armors? Do you want to create an army?

1 hour relog time?

Rather than provoke alt using we should also try to eliminate reasons for alting. As for, removing profession restrictions. What you do should be rendered alone by your skills.

If there's a possibility to relocate your skill points, you won't need to create and level new alts. Just a little time restriction on changing with some kind of brain programming machine. It will be still based on your primary stats, unless you found a way to change them, like Strength or Endurance with proper exercise in mining or plastic surgery doing wonders on your Charisma.

But i already mentioned that somewhere. It was considered a bad idea and not even explained why. Hell, why should they do it, really?

Or simply remove that 3 levels limit of professions. You can't be jack of all trades anyway, 'cause it's silly to tag all 3 ranged weapons skills. So you'll be able to make your weapon prof lvl 3+armor prof lvl 3+if you want to waste alot points also doc lvl 3. Why should you to relog with your alt to make armor, because your character can craft only guns?

So with 1 hour relog time pure fighters gonna use thier friends' help, crafter/fighters can easy be self-sufficient.

Don't change SPECIAL stats, you can easy handle weapon+armor profs, that's all you need to play normally, drugs need for gangs, so they can have weapon+doc profs. Pure fighters are too powerful, so, they also must be hard to play without someone's help. So if you decided to play for pure fighter, you should have someone's hug or simply fight your way.

Personally, i'd like to craft good equipment for my main char.
A metal armor and a proper gun, that's all you need.

Your ideas are retarded? Why should be punished player, which spend more time by crafting, hunting or looting (winning)? Because you cant have stuff?

But current crafting and harvesting system is punish for all players which dont want to spent 4 hours ingame and wants to do one reasonable thing in the game: PvP

Lol, why the hell you playing FOnline then? Why do you need to wait so much time to get stuff for shooting at players only? If you can't see any other reason playing this except for PvP, I think, you'd better start to play Quake or CS, you don't need to wait there to shoot at people.

Perfect example of a loyal fallout fan :P. Most of us still play this because we love fallout(not 2238). Finding player who didn't play F1/F2 is very rare(especially one that didn't quit)

I'm not sure what OP is suggesting but.. anyway

Crafting timeout only on the xp you get would be sweet. max X xp / Y time. if you make more stuff after you've reached your xp limit you just get stuff but no xp... and 30 gathering cooldown :)

"But, hey wasteland will be overflowed with items!!!!" Great then we can just play and not be bored.

I'm not sure what OP is suggesting
I'll add also something.

To get an item, for example Rocketlauncher, you must have:
1st level BG prof (it's requires this...);
40%(or 30%?) Repair (craft list contains Junk);
40% Science (craft list contains Metal Parts);
80% Science (craft list contains Alloys).

You click on Rocketlauncher.
It says:
You need to wait X1+Y2 minutes, also while this time you have to earn Z3 experience by any way you want(kill/quest/outdoorsamn/thief). Then, when X+Y minutes expired, and you earned Z or more exp, go to any workbrench and get your Rocketlauncher and be happy.

1 Time of CD you getting for crafting Rocketlauncher.
2 Time you spend on getting resources for current item. 1 mineral/iron ore = 1 minute 12 sec. Metal part = 2m42s, Alloy=7m12s, Gunpowder = 1m12s, etc.
3 Ammount of XP you getting for crafting this item.

Also if character is offline CD freezed. So when you login next time you'll continue "doing something" till CD ends and then, if you earned Z exp you'll get your item.

You can cancel this anytime, then your CD will instantly become 0. And you can pick other item to craft.

So... what will be changed?
Number of items = the same as now. Not more, not less.
Stupid waiting = much less.
Active play = more.

The problem is 5 minutes CD for mining, and CDs for other gathering, right? Well, I have some ideas.
Either adding a way of reducing/removing CD - like when you mine, and get 5 minutes CD, you can do some minigame or something, I don't really know what, and it will take you, say, 30 seconds, and will remove the 5 minute CD. So you: mine, do something for 30 seconds, repeat. Or you could still wait those 5 minutes if you want to watch Youtube..
Now, every 5 minutes equals 5 iron ore / minerals, right? Well, if you could get more per 5 minutes, you spend less time overall, which also means less waits, therefore solving (partially) the issue.
This could be either by increasing the amount of resources gathered, maybe higher repair/science skill, more stuff.
Or, for mining and some others, you could get slaves, give them sledgehammers, go to some area with ore, and make the slaves mine too. If you would have, say, 4 slaves, and you would mine too, that's five times as much stuff. To me, that seems alot. Also, if you don't want to be slaver, you could maybe hire some miner mercs or something like that.
I've been thinking about it for a while, and I don't see why (parts of) it wouldn't work...

First of all 6 minutes, not 5. That's why 1 mineral/iron ore = 1 min 12 sec.

Now about your post:
As I understood, you want to make gathering faster? No way. You'll not solve a problem. Hiring slaves/mercs/whoever else to get resources faster will make rich (gangs) get resources even faster than loners, they getting it now faster (because they're more than one), and you want even faster? Also you suggesting to play/do something 30 sec to remove 6 min. CD? WTF?

I suggesting to leave the same speed of item incoming right now, but replace waiting with playing, that's all I suggesting. And I explained how to do this.

Is there at least a chance that someone halves the cooldown for a probation time or makes it possible to gather ore AND minerals before initiating cooldown?
