how do i gather fibers? and where can i find it?

My last new character found plenty of fibers around NCR.

Or you can join some faction. Some bases have their own fiber field.

the cheapest way - buy a buggy with key, fund plants of fibers near tent, and leave the car
this thing u can make with big amount of trees  ;)
