Adding people to bases.

Well, as it was said it was done to "prevent alting" which in fact just do not prevent anything but forces player to use legal dual log or proxy and.... nothing happens.
Old system should be brought back bcuz now players are just annoyed by that thing.

I think it is more a bug than a thing made on purpose.

There is no common sense to go back to dark ages when people had to bring all the characters in all the bases...
I can't imagine anyone doing it today...
