The Mysterious Enemy

Before the wipe, we will try some new kind of "event". If players don't like it or if it turns not to be fun, we just won't do it after wipe =)) (Pre-wipe period seems to be the best time to test this).

  • A character will wander around in not-guarded towns.
  • If you attack him, he will shoot. If he kills you, he will loot all your stuff.
  • He has more hit points than normal players and better resistance.
  • If you succeed in killing him, you can take all his stuff (Loot he has taken from his dead enemies) except his weapon. He can carry an infinite amount of stuff and does not store it into a tent or anything.

As this character is not hostile, you won't suffer from him if you don't help a team hunting him or if you just ignore him. He's not a player killer, but someone that is defending himself.

i think knowing his stats would help players, so people could know if they have chances.

And this would take all the fun away. Explore and find out on your own.

Edit: It will be one of the admins playing such char or npc? If its NPC then it might be pretty easy to kill him... when we were looting pulse rifles (ancient history), Enclave soldiers having them were unable to attack us because there were like 8-10 of us constantly shooting at them and that caused them to "lag" somehow so their attack animations were instantly interrupted with "taking hit" animation. As result NPC was able to shoot like 2-3 times instead of 5+ times like it should if it was 1v1 fight.

I think I saw mysterious stranger sometime in cities, wearing a leather jacket and sniper rifle.

is he an NPC or controlled by someone?
Is he will visiting cities all over time or just one hour a day?

i noticed that  his hp increased over time?  what is the formula? or is it just doubled after each death?

No, it's 888 and will always be 888. It had 1000+ but I noticed it and fixed it.
