Get full new version of the client from http://fodev.net/forum/index.php/topic,22146.0.html
Don't forget to set up paths to critter.dat and master.dat Fallout 2 files (or copy them into data folder).

i got the same problem, i deleted all catches and the updated the game, but same problem on the pic

fixed, after you delete all catches and update again(only to get deafault)start game and after it shows the black screen you press enter and wait some time

i had same problem, my screen was looking same as yours. solution was to change ip in configurator
