Yes, this topic is because I've just tasted it. Pretty bitter, I should say. Hidden Fear killed my character without pity, without remorse, though not without reason.
...A split second that lasted for eternity. He didn't even have the time to pull out his gun, and it was already over. As he fell on the cooling sand, he saw a lone star, so close, so bright, so comforting... It burned his eyes until he couldn't see the sky anymore. But the star remained. He felt a touch: quick fingers running through his pockets. He couldn't stop them, but he didn't want to. "Let it be...", echoed through his head. The star called him, drawing closer with every blink of unseeing eyes. Then a sound... two words pierced the chilling air in wasteland evening: "DIE A##HOLE!". He didn't care. He raised his arms, put them around the star and cradled it like a child. And then, he knew it, he was no more, only a shadow left to feed the coming night... "Let it be..."
Such was the revenge of Hidden Fear upon 7MeN. Quick, determined, and very, very cold. It happened on an encounter with NPCs shortly after our team killed him in desert. I entered the encounter, eager for easy prey, and the next thing I saw was my character laying on the ground. The fingers belonged to NPC woman who shamelessly looted the body. I hope he managed to get all the useful stuff from her, it'd be a shame to lose it all to a bot. Personally, I love the beauty of such in-game moments, even when it's my character laying on the ground. Do you?
