Anyone up for Diablo 2 Multiplayer?
Surf:
If there is already a thread for a relatively small or offtopic question, then yes.

No way man! On the long run, when it's easy enough for you to get any items you want d2 classic is the only way to have any fun. Hardcore ofcourse, because fun is never really fun if it isn't annoying too.

I'm currently doing a hardcore run with some american kid I met on a server.
Expansion items aren't really that OP compared to the annoying enemies it adds, it's pretty easy to die against those teleporting demons shooting fire everywhere while catapults rape you.
The expansion boss is a wuss compared to Diablo though, that's true.

Hmkay :)
I have to disagree here. Considering runewords, every character the ability to tele, bo, +skills and have amazing aura's increasing damage, defense or even lowering enemy resistances. Considering charms, with life, resistances and +skills. Nothing is safe from LoD characters, whereas in d2 "classic" nothing is overpowered to the extent of LoD.
I'm not saying LoD isn't fun or shouldn't be played, just that the challenge factor is reduced to zero when you get rich enough. Also, it's fun in d2 "classic" that the best items are still the yellow ones with random godly rolls. You know, the ones in LoD which are almost without exception Charsi-Food ;)
