I've noticed while pvping, something rather odd. I will burst someone point blank and do hardly any damage. The say it is due to the "toughness" and "Even Tougher" perk. So my question is, does toughness + even tougher take away damage for each bullet? Or from the entire burst? For example, say I bursted someone with a 10mm smg.

Normal damage would be
(8 to 15) dmg x 10 = 80 to 150 dmg per burst

with toughness + even tougher, would it be like this, (minuses dmg from each bullet) {(8-5) to (15-5)} x 10 = 30 to 100 dmg per burst
Or would it be like this, (minuses dmg from total dmg) (8 to 15) x 10 = (80-5) to (150-5) so 75 to 145 dmg per burst

Do not forget, that http://fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Toughness and http://fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Even_Tougher also add http://fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Damage_resistance. So if you have both of them, its is DT-5 DR-15. This is applied to every attack comming at you.

Now burst is not considered as one attack, but rather a serie of attacks. Each bullet have a chance to hit/miss, and each bullets damage is affected by targets DT and DR.

What i would like to know: does toughness work only for normal damage? Because at least in the inventory window, it shows increased DR and DT only for http://fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/Normal damage.

you misunderstood my question. I want to know the series of bullets (10 bullets) takes -5 dmg
or if each bullet takes -5 dmg (first bullet 3 to 10 dmg, second bullet 3 to 10 dmg, third bullet 3 to 10 dmg, etc.)
