Most efficient method of collecting junk?

Damn things keep spawning on the exit grid, is there a reasonable way to collect 1750 junk or is it just a 40 hour grind.

Do it with slave/merc.
1) Punch him to enter grid.
2) Use him as container.

But really doing it alone is damn boring, it's almost like leveling on crafting healing powders (btw now it's impossible? 0 xp?)

Giftless:
- Hunt for lumber and junk in the same encounters
- Make deals with newbies to outfit them with equipment for 80-100 junk.
- Don't go after insane base types?
- Look for junk when leveling / hunting for blueprints?

It took me something like three days to get the junk requirement for a depot. o_O Probably your best bet is to stockpile it when you don't need it.

just join some big faction and rape their base, thats how the pro's do it.

you know you could just not be cheap and buy some from others. saves you time and energy
