I forgot my password and was just curious if there was any sort of way to retrieve it.

Press CTRL on menu/login screen to see password of the last character you logged in.

If it's not the last character, then it's not possible.
Passwords are encoded on server in a way that makes impossible to retrieve them.

make a new caracter, hope you didn't lost to much items and levels
