Good starting build?
« on: May 09, 2012, 08:45:05 pm »

Hello, I've decided to try and get back into FOnline, unfortunately things have changed significantly and I have no idea what I'm doing once again. Would anyone have a good starting build they could share with me? It would be much appreciated.

Also to those who may remember me and the gang I used to run with, I no longer associate with them and hope to run with a better crew this time around. (Hopefully one that helps blue suits instead of shooting them.)

What you want?

Small guns and unarmed/melee weapon are easy for start.

Be slaver is a good way for making caps.

A nice tool for builds : http://www.nitue.net

Yeah what build do you want? Fighter or crafter? PvP or PVE? Jack of all trades?

My first build definitely isn't going to be PVP. I'd prefer a jack of all trades build.

I have one you might like. It's a "universal crafter". Others have scoffed at it but it has all 6 professions so you can craft anything, plus:

* Maximum Carry Weight 196
* Lockpick 150
* Outdoorsman 100, skins geckos and gets his own private workbench
* FA and Doc both 100, improved Healing Rate
* Repair and Science both 150, gets Best of a Bad Lot, Dismantler, and Mr Fixit
* Traps 125, gets Light Step, useful during blueprint hunting
* Small Guns skill 180, gets Bonus Rate of Fire, shoots some small guns 3 times per turn (w/2x Action Boys)
* Even Tougher for some improved DR and DT
* 80% Poison Resistance and 62% Radiation Resistance
* 15 Support Perks total and dialogues with most NPCs

He only ends with 134 Hit Points but for a PvE do-almost-everything build, it works for me. This guy is very useful at the Glow and can solo the tanker quest if you're careful.

You show me a better one "dude". Show me how you build a guy who crafts it all, and does the rest of that list.

*sigh* and another good thread gets hi-jacked.

To all forum posters here: if you start a thread and someone hijacks it, tell them to knock it off. If they persist, report them. It's your thread so don't ignore the hijackings.

Sounds like a pretty good build for doing everything you want ...... so if you don't like it than ignore it.

I find for the very first character, heavy handed UA is best. So easy to knock down enemies and keep them knocked down, while still able to eye shot when hp is high enough. And no worries about losing gear to fight.
10, 4, 10, 1, 8, 10, 1
Heavy Hand/Bruiser
Bonus H&H dam
Livewire
Bonus H&H dam
Bonus H&H dam+
Lifegiver 1-3
Bonus H&H attack

High HP, livewire for dodging in bluesuit on the run, and descent damage barehanded. I did Outdoors, UA, and FA for easy movement/healing.

lvl2 armorer, gunsmith bg and gunsmith sg
biggest wm speed w/o car,dismantler
i fucked up w bonus move, take some bonus on unarmed dmg or crits, since heavy handed is imba in rt,not tb
you can even lower perc and put 2 more pints in st and end,get bigger cw and 290 hp at the end,but i hate having small sight

i dont like alts, but they are necessary, this is good starting build,if u want to lockpick for bp,make lockpicking alt w lockpicking 300

TKs-Senrain!   Welcome back buddy!  The Khans might be gone, but their memory lives on....

Yes, Pistolguy, you were a Khan for what about 2 weeks before you got kicked to the curb?  No offense but Senrain was in the Khans for a loooong time, check his butter profile images, if not a very beloved one....  I should know, I'm about all that exists from that time, perhaps a relic of the past.

Decided to do Chewbakka's build, which I will use to get stuff for Marko's universal crafter.
