Outdoorsman’s Camp in ruins or coast?
« on: April 24, 2012, 02:55:53 am »

Has anyone made one of those camps in ruins or coast yet? If it's possible, what does it look like?

The coast, and it looks just like you'd expect: a beach with a ranger shack in the middle of sand.

Its like it is with a tent, except with the building instead.

For OD safehouses in coastal locations, visit one of the applicable maps and imagine the shack being pasted in the upper left. Few trees to the left, car wreck south of those. Nothing special really.

Tent in that location looks completely different.

Me showing off my incredible wealth...yeah.  :-\

Tent @ beach has a pier and looks way prettier, imo.

Oh wow.

Ruin tent and camp are completely the same, it's just weird how the camp is brown while everything else is gray.

Well that makes no sense... I suppose the Ranger is a minimalist after all. Oh well, now I'll have to make a new beach tent

I love how malice puts armor under the clothes line.

Pretend your hanging it out to dry.  Imagination ftw.

That's basically the reason I skipped the Ranger perk. Form > function. Could need fix imo? Be aware, though, the interior of the tent is comparatively spartan:

\o/ for RP!
The book at the pier is still a first aid book, though. WTB cat's paw.

Looks more comfy than desert or ruin tent... :p

Smaller.

Door is south of the house instead of lateral part of it, the brown house also looks weird next to all those grey ruins.

I like it because it's defensive though, you will always spawn on the intersection at the very center of the map so you can park your cars nearby and leave NPCs guarding the spawn point for you.
