Can Vault City get a door or force field on the main entrance because if you don't know that you are supposed to get a pass then you will die. Therefore all your stuff is gone which kind stinks.

Yes it is but in FO2 they had a gate so that you had to have a pass to get thru.

I believe you get a warning before they shoot you but you have to pay attention to the guards there who tell you no, you cannot enter. I have found other examples of this in other places too so the trick is to pay attention to the overhead warnings from NPCs as you approach them.

In an earlier era there was a gate. Thieving members of VC used to steal from people opening the door. There was only 1 hex you could open the door from, so it was easy for thieves to steal there.

And even with the gate and guards telling players not to touch it there was still deaths of eager explorers.

even with gates they shoot if you opening gates without citizenship /day pass at day/ simply shoot at night non-citizens
