That was my whole idea that the PA (if had to be implemented) would be so rare, precious and hard to get one's hands on than players would rather get their asses pounded than allowing themselves to lost it ;]
And again - this was not because I feel this game has a need for a craftable (or even obtainable) PA, this was because this game needs MORE ACHIEVEMENTS. More things to do, also when you've got a gang of 21 level chars, biggest base and a few towns under your control. This is a beta, so I'm not crying over the lack of ingame opportunities, still it would be good to help devs in thinking over new, interesting and challenging things that a player can do. There should be some extremely complicated items to craft, things that (while being generally useful or prestigious) wouldn't be worth all the offort, time, and sacrifices needed to create them and be too valuable to take the risk of loosing it - just because (in an ideal MMORPG) players should always have something to do in their field of interest that they haven't done already.
I've got the feeling that many people usually forget that the is no need to make EVERY occupation a player can take the equal one. Ideal balance isn't needed. Look at the slavers - there are some players playing in enslaving people, loosing reputation im many cities and putting their time and effort in chasing slaves while it offers lesser advantage than simply hiring a merc. Yet, slaving is simply an another, interesting way of playing this game, so certain people just go for it. Jeez, many people spend hours ornamenting their bases and tents with flowers, xander roots, guards, brahmins and so on (I bought a caravan some time ago only because I wanted it to stay near my tent and look cool!) Does it help them to achieve domination or get more money? No. They just find it fun.
New opportunities. They don't need to lead you to be equal in fighting as a supper-biggun-build, they don't need to give you millions of caps. They simply need to be a cool thing to do, nice way of playing Fonline for somebody. That's it.
you can have only 3 profession levels total, and you asking for armorer level 4, it wont work anyway, and it is not needed. If you have ba, and take psycho/toughness you are more then well protected.
Oh, I think that with a few new armors (maybe not PA, but for example that fireproof leather jacket that was discussed some time ago) There could ba a proffesion lvl 4 for armors. There is plenty of SGs so this profession also could have 4 levels. Why not? Demolitions have now only 2 levels and it isn't THAT terrible. Ideal balance in all aspects of the game is impossible, so craving for it AGAINST ALL ODDS may bring more damage to the overall game experience than reasonably allowing certain unbalance (what bad would happen if we had some weaker professions with less requirements for players that don't feel that thay had to be 'the biggest badasses on the server'?
