Or maybe you need information like Status Server bot? If yes, join to official 2238 IRC channel - #2238 at forestnet network, if you don't know how, check this page:
http://fo2238.fodev.net/wiki/IRC
There is always at the topic status of the server. If you want to check player number as well, go to #serverstatus and type "!s" or "!status" to get latest status of 2238 server.
