cooking profession
« on: March 04, 2010, 07:17:17 am »

well, you see the chems like choc. chip cookies and nukas? well i tihnk that you should be able to craft them there would need to be boneuses to be added and all of the plants pickable at the outpost. alchahol brewing could be integrated into this profession. now, i think that foods should be buff only like in wow. as a cook, you could use that raw meet from the brahmen table to cook steaks. foods would multiply the efectiveness of foods by a persentage (1.5%?).

sorry for all the bad speling a gramar errors, as i am dysgraphic and spellcheck pisses me off

A cooking profession you say?
well all those iguana-bits have have to be cooked by somebody alright.
This could be a grand idea, Give all foods all sorts of small bonuses when eaten. Such as +1 str or +1 agility. Or even an improved healing rate.
While the bonusses are small, food isn't addicting. Making it a perfect counter to drugs (much more bonus but chance for addiction)

Yeah, because everything in this game is pure of shit, it's just for noobs and carebears!!111

No one is saying that there have to be orcs and shit in fonline. But some games are popular for a reason. One could learn alot from other games regarding game mechanics, balance etc. But no - fonline is too l33t for such noob shit!

im glad this issue has been settled and you all come to agree my point of view.

we had this realism debate a couple of days ago. next thing someone is goint to demand that food and water become vital to every char. lets say every 8 hours?

i say kill the cancer before it grows.

well, surf, the super mutants can be considered as the orcs of fallout, they're green, mean, and humongous, and many are dumber than bricks.

Seriously, somoene makes a suggestion and people start flaming eachother? You should do that ingame at gunpoint instead.
He never started about realism, he started about cooking. He said it would improve the effectenis of food. I don't see anything about hunger in it or any other kind of realism thing. So please stay on topic.

It's a good idea, even TLA has a rudimentary cooking system. It's been a while since I saw it, but it just seemed to involve combining a lighter, wood, and meat in the fixboy.

It strikes me as a good use of a lot of otherwise useless items, and one of those fun minor diversions that give a game character.

It's just irritating people seem to be seconds away from vomiting blood all over their keyboards in rage whenever something like this is suggested. People have their Diablo with guns and they are quite happy with it.

And that's all we wanted to hear. ;)
Sometimes even a small sidenot is important.
