 Compass. Item in your hand (even hidden) could give you outdoorsman skill bonus. 50 percent, so although you dont tag outdoorsman and you raise it only to 50 points, you can reach 100 outdoorsman skill. Good enough for regular chars.

 Avaiability = similar to lighter. Not craftable, not every trader has one, but after one week of playing, you can have 10 pieces just as a side loot.

 Similar existing items: lockpick, stealth boy, first aid kid, ... .

But also the Scout Handbook could be used to get an additional Outdoorsman bonus:



Maybe +25 to each? Or +25 for book, +50 for compass? (Or the other way around?)

25% would seem more reasonable I think.

They could maybe show up as rare loot in footlockers or caves?
