Quick question regarding companions

So the system is now dependent on "party points". Does that mean you still need CH to carry companions on world map? (I tested with brahmins and I couldn't move, just wondering if companions are different, if I just need party points for them or also need CH)

+1 charisma for each follower including slaves mercs companions dogs brahmins
