yea also add they totaly rare really high protected enconter fun factor gets more up also

Lexx i hope u will think about this becouse all that "Make bank transfers possible" and FLC convoys things can be not something so much anti lore, and be simply justified as u can see.Only thing is its is easy to make in technical means?

Transfering money from bank to bank would need a lot time + it's not even sure if the money will ever get to the other bank.

Lexx, with all respect, I muust disagree. There are radio channels, and a bank does not need to transfer rthe money itself - you can put money into a bank in one city and wire it somewhere else now - they need to contact each other, not actually move the caps.

But FLC caravans would make it nice =) i'd suggest, tho, that attacking such a caravan would drop reputation in _every_ FLC-featuring town.

What? How do you place bottlecaps in a bank and "wire" them with another bank? Either the stuff is in bank A or B, it can't be in both at the same time.


And about radios, if it would be me, I would change things even more. But then radios will be forever forgotten, I guess.

He means, like now, your actual physical money doesn't matter. The paper money we carry round now are only promisory notes for the value printed on them for example. You pay your caps in VC, head to NCR and withdraw the same amount of caps from the bank there.

Your account is adjusted to reflect the withdrawal and the amount of caps in the bank globally remains the same.


Having said that, I prefer the fact you have to physically move about with your money though, it increases the risk, so I don't particularly care if its realistic or not.

See it as a bank system in wild west and ignore the fact that radios can send over the whole worldmap in the game. Why should I trust some random guy who is coming into my bank and tells me he wants 1000 caps from the bank, because he might have an account with that amount of money in some other city which is many many miles away?

I would kick his ass out of the building and laugh at him.

That is exactly what I meant, thank you. I would prefer people move aenoud with caps too, especially big amounts, especially around my base =) To make both sides happy, why not charge 5-10% interest for the "wire transfer"? that would 1)bring us a source of income to the bank so they could actually pay interest 2)make people choose - safe witdrawal of 90% money put in VC in NCR or taking a risk to take it through the wastes (Greedy, greedy people, thanks for your money!). I'd guess that transfers will mostly be used by newer/lone players, so that is a good thing.

Agreed on "no proff - no money" stuff. Maybe 1)people with negative/no reputation whould not have the wire transgfer option 2)as for proof - they could have an encoded radio channel to check with other FLC divisions whether the money is present anywhere.

A "golden" solution IMO will be % charged for wire transfer depend on your reputation with FLC: 3-20% anyone? Of course, then we need ways to get reputation with FLC - and quests are 1st to come to mind ("wasteland money caravan jobs anyone?"). I would happily script the dialogues =)

If and to introduce bank transfers, the commission should be large enough (5-20%). Otherwise it is seriously decreased cash ammount in wasteland  ;)

in the wild west scenario "bank notes" were physical promissaries of gold, could be exchanged in any bank, the problem was with transfer of physical gold, if you didn't have enough and people came in to collect you could go "bankrupt" theoretically the modern economy is based on bankrupt banks, the FOnline economy would suffer from this too.
