Remove crit bonus damage for high damage weapons

The whole point of getting a critical hit is to make precision weapons in line damage wise with heavy hitting weapons. I'm saying we take a page from new vegas and remove the bonus crit damage from grenades, flamers and rl's and replace it with a chance for random crippling. This would make luck less important across every build type and make one-shotting players harder to do making for more interesting combat.

Thread name makes this look like a bad idea, yet summary implies otherwise.

If you were to remove damage bonus from explosions and area effects (excluding bursts probably), it could work, because those things are already getting high base damage, and even when they don't, they are made for damaging masses, so being really affected by user's stats is a bit weird.

On other hand if every weapon should crit for similar amount of damage (as you suggest in your thread name), it'd be just massive fuck up - BBs or huntar rifles critting as much as plasma rifle? No...

Just give the heavy hitters a penalty on the crit table, and stuff like the hunting rifle a bonus on the crit table. It's pretty easy to do. Then again, I have been staring at combat.fos for the past week or so.

why no nerf all crits?
gatling can kill only if u have better ciritical.
in other way it deal 150-250 damage with crit.
same rocket launcher 110-210.
i have builds for gatling with out crits, with crits, with better crits and only build with better crits can kill you with single cirt.
it is same if u have bg with better crits, it is instant death from lsw or m60. so stop crying because gatling killed u on hinkley.
pvp crit build can be easly killed and it is only max 25% with perk mos it is max 15% and normaly it is max 20-21%
